In this unit, the children will learn about healthy lifestyle choices and the effects of harmful substances on the body.

What is the circulatory system?
Name and describe the purpose of the circulatory system and the functions of the heart, blood vessels and blood.

Scientific Enquiry: Investigations
What can your heart rate tell you?
Plan different types of scientific enquiries to answer questions, including recognising and controlling variables where necessary.
Record data and results of increasing complexity using scientific diagrams and labels, classification keys, tables, scatter graphs, bar and line graphs.
Report and present findings from enquiries, including conclusions, causal relationships and explanations of and degree of trust in results, in oral and written forms such as displays and other presentations.

🏁 BIG FINISH
The unit will culminate in children performing a five minute presentation in small groups to the rest of the class based around a chosen part of our topic.
