My Happy Mind
What is My Happy Mind?
My Happy Mind is a science-backed programme for schools that is grounded in the latest research about what it takes to create positive wellbeing. My Happy Mind complements our PSHE currciulum and aims to develop resilient and thriving children. We teach the programme to all children from Reception to Year 6. Each child recieves a journal to complete as they work through the modules. At Parkfield, all children have one My Happy Mind session each week taught by their class teacher. There are five modules taught over the year.
Alongside the weekly session that all children have in school, we encourage parents and carers to engage with the My Happy Mind Parent app. These resources can be accessed online on your computer, or through an app on your phone. The Parent App will support you as a parent in understanding what your child is learning, activities for you to do together at home and also a Kids Zone featuring myHappymind Games plus much more!
Further information about how to access the app has been sent out in Newsletters (Nov'24 and Dec '24). If you need any further information, please email office@parkfield.rochdale.sch.uk
What are the five Modules?

Celebrate: Understanding your unique character strengths and learning to celebrate them. This is a fantastic module for building self esteem.
Appreciate: Understanding why gratitude matters and how you can develop gratitude as a habit. Gratitude is key to wellbeing and resilience and we’re all about making it a habit!
Relate: Understanding why positive relationships matter and how to build them. We’re focussed on the building blocks of good relationships and friendships.
Engage: Understanding how to set meaningful goals that matter and how to keep resilient in times of challenge. This module is all about building self esteem and resilience too.
