Our vision for the teaching of RE is for the children to explore big questions about life, to find out what people believe and what difference this makes to how they live, so that we can make sense of religion, reflecting on our own ideas and ways of living.
The children are taught in discreet year groups in mixed ability groupings. They are taught during an ‘RE Week’ each half term. In addition to these weeks, there are additional RE teaching for the Christian festivals of Christmas and Easter; for other religious and cultural festivals, such as Chinese New Year, Passover, Ramadan and Diwali.
