Unit Overview
This project teaches children about the local, significant individual - Edgar Wood. The children will have opportunities to learn about Edgar Wood's life, his achievements and why he is significant within Middleton and beyond. This project also enables children to explore Middleton's past and dig deep into how it's changed over time and what has continued and remained the same.

Unit Sequence: Learning Intentions
Enquiry Question - What has changed in Middleton since the Edgar Wood buildings were built? What has stayed the same? We will construct a timeline and discuss the key vocabulary relevant to our up and coming lessons.
We will visit local, significant buildings designed by Edgar Wood and enjoy a visit to the local library to access the archives.
We will answer our enquiry question and present our responses to the rest of the class whilst at the library (using the archives to help us.)
