How you can Help at Home

READING

    • Reading books are changed regularly.

    • Please record any reading completed in your child's personal organiser.

    • Read as much as possible with your child. Just 20 minutes a day can make a huge difference.

    • Read anything that interests your child - it doesn't have to just be their reading book.

    • We recommend these Books to Read across the different year groups. How many has your child read?

SPELLINGS

    • Children are tested and new spellings are handed out each week.

    • Practising these spellings at home supports our approach within the school.

MATHS

    • Mathletics tasks are set online each week to consolidate and extend learning. Your child can also practice their mental calculations against children around the world! Login details are in personal organisers and the link to access Mathetics can be found on the school's homepage.

    • Click here to find what Number Facts you can practise this half term with your child.

HANDWRITING

    • Practising handwriting using the school’s policy helps children develop fluent, accurate and neat handwriting. You can click here to see what they'll be learning this half term.
