Forest School
Our Vision
Forest School is an exclusive educational experience and process. It offers children the opportunity to succeed and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in an outdoor environment.
Children can engage in motivating, attainable tasks and activities throughout each term and in more or less all weathers, with the appropriate equipment, footwear and clothing.
Children will have the opportunity to work with tools, play, learn and begin to recognise the boundaries of behaviour, both physically and socially.
Children will have the opportunity to learn and grow in confidence, self- esteem and motivation whilst also developing an understanding of the natural world.
Here at Parkfield Primary School our Forest School aims are:
Provide a safe environment in which pupils can take risks.
Provide stimulation and varied learning activities appropriate to the pupil’s needs and stages of development.
Be true to the Forest School ethos and approach.
Develop a secure, happy and welcoming environment.
Provide opportunities to learn through small, achievable tasks.
Meet the needs of all pupils with all learning styles.
