How do we, as humans, positively affect our environment?
Year 5
Unit Overview
This project teaches....
the children to be curious on how humans affect where they live. Initially we will focus on our wider locality by visiting an area where a land management project is underway. Our focus will then move to environmental awareness and land management on another continent such as the National Parks in Africa. Using the knowledge we have gained we will address land management within the school grounds. Can we apply large scale ideas to our own school? Creating a sketch map of the school grounds children discuss area in need of care and improvement and then record these ideas using an acetate overlay.
